~Problem with Evolution Gym~ HELP

Im trying to evolve my Magmar into a Magmortar and it won't.

I pressed Evolve Starter and said I need to go to Evolution Gym. So I did that, and it still didn't evolve. Neew help. Don't know why is not working.

You need to attach a smooth pearl to magmar to get it to evolve.
