I really disliked this movie. The beginning was pretty good, with the main character telling us about her childhood. Then when she dies, I realized this movie had the worst storyline ever. I'm not going to spoil anything for people who haven't seen this movie yet. It shows the main character in the world before Heaven and after Life, which I thought was stupid. It was just a bunch of beautiful trees and the weather changing constantly.

This movie was supposed to be a murder mystery... well the only mystery was the girl's father wondering who killed his daughter then like 11 months later he finds out when he looks the guy in the eye. That's pretty much the mystery. They had great special effects, but a lame story.

Over all I rate this movie a two out five stars.

Obviously. Seems like all the crappy movies these days are based off of amazing books.

I'm with Fading and Ally on this. Movie was total crap. And yeah it was based off a book I hated also, but, the film is just a CGI crapfest that doesn't go into the level of character development the book does.

Not all the book movies are crappy. I heard the Percy Jackson movie was cool.

The trailer made it look a movie worth watching. What was so bad about it?

No name actors with no understanding of character relations? Acting wise, compare it to Twilight it was that bad. Storyline wise, compare it Harry Potter, and because Harry Potter is good and this movie isn't, credit the storyline to Potter.

All trailers are suppose to make the movie worth watching

I hated Twilight. I'm going to see Percy Jackson next week and see for myself though.

Yep. But really the movie I can't for is Shutter Island. <3 It's supposed to be scary and everything and my best friend and I really want to see it.

I'm sorry, but I just simply can't take Marky Mark seriously. No matter what type of role he does or what type of movie he stars in, he'll always be Marky Mark from the '90's in my eyes.

Shutter Island is out, go see that, I promise you it is 100x better than Jackson.

Inkheart was terrible, it was a sad, sad, reminder that everything Brendan Fraser is in will always be total trash. Here's the order of movies mentioned: Shutter Island > Percy Jackson > Inkheart > Lovely Bones > Twilight

Yeah I know! It's supposed to be a big murder mystery, right?

yeah, Twilight's just that bad isn't it. But honestly, I think new moon is even worse. D:

well........I'm going to see Wolfman. I grew up to those old Universal moster films and I enjoyed them all.

I want to see the Lovely Bones, but after hearing these reviews, I'm truly and honestly surprised that Jackson tarnished this book after the way he portrayed The Lord Of The Rings. I read the books and I'm a big fan of J.R.R. Tolkien and he was dead on up until the end of the third film and not including Tom Bombadil in the first film (which he really didn't need).

Was thinking of seeing The Lonely Bones, won't be seeing it now from this.
Percy Jackson looked like junk the moment I saw the trailer so that's a no as well.

Tbh, I'm a fan of Wahlberg and that one thing may get me to see it. Film trailer didn't do it justice tbh.
