Important Overall Notes:
- You are expected to know and follow the rules. If you violate them, you can and will be punished for it without anyone speaking to you first. We do not often give 'warnings', except for very minor forum or chat offenses. Getting banned on either the RPG, forums or chatrooms can get you banned on all three if necessary.
- If you're caught breaking major RPG rules, all accounts of yours may also be banned at the same time if appropriate to the situation. It does not matter if you actually broke the rule in only one of them, and it doesn't matter if it was your 'first time' breaking the rule. It does not matter how long ago you broke a major rule, either. Even if caught for these offenses a long time from when you committed them, you can still be banned.

The following rules apply for everything - RPG, forums and chatrooms!
1. Be respectful and polite to others. Do not flame, harass/annoy others, or use foul language. Keep the general atmosphere somewhat kid friendly. 'Censoring' profanities is still not appropriate.

- 1a. It is not OK to mistreat moderators simply because they are higher status. If you think a moderator is breaking a rule, report them to another higher moderator. Do not take it upon yourself to 'handle' it.

2. Don't spam or flood. Do not post advertisements for other games, your site, your chat channel(s), etc. It is alright to have a link in your RPG profile or forum signature, but that's it.
3. Keep your nicknames and profiles appropriate. Do not use vulgarities, profanities, etc. in any of them.
4. Do not create threads, posts, set your signatures, etc. to accuse another user of scamming, cheating, etc. Use the report function, or private message a moderator.

- 4a. Do not make general forum threads directed at specific user(s) or telling someone to check another portion of the site. Send them a private message.
- 4b. Do not bug a staff member about a ban that is not yours. Ban issues are between the person whose account is banned and the moderator who set the ban... no one else.

5. If a staff member says that an issue has been resolved, please do not continue to bug them. It's OK to send them one reminder if you feel they forgot to look at it, but don't spam them if they've already addressed it.
6. Do not impersonate or pretend to be anyone you're not.

- 6a. You may not offer to trade Pokemon out of any account that you don't own.
- 6b. Registering a unique/well-known chat nickname that belongs to someone else can get you banned.

7. Please do not type words in all capitals or post a large amount of keyboard-mashing/nonsense.
8. English only. We know many diverse people play TPPC, but we require English for purposes of best communication and moderation.
9. Posting of others' personal information is not allowed for any reason.

- 9a. Gathering and sharing personal information of others amongst yourselves also falls under this rule, and is not allowed.

10. Do not beg. This stands no matter if it's for free Pokemon or if it's for powers or status. Asking to be a moderator will only lower your chances.
11. Do not create a crazy amount of accounts anywhere across the RPG/forums/chat. Try to keep it at a maximum of 5. Anybody spamming creation of accounts can have every single account of theirs banned if it is deemed abusive.

Additional TPPCRPG Rules:
1. Do not cheat. This includes using programs such as auto-clickers, macros, etc. Do not use more than one browser or window to battle at the same time. Do not abuse glitches/errors to get stuff you should not be able to get or to get it more easily. Do not do anything that gives you an unfair advantage over others that are using a standard TPPC setup on a standard browser. Do not purposely battle glitched accounts that have errors in them. Do not refresh/F5 past steps in challenges. Do not change button placements, or otherwise do anything to change intended battle mechanics (http://forums.tppc.info/showthread.php?t=346256). You must complete your battles; one incomplete battle once in a while due to a computer problem or a site error is OK and not what we're talking about here. Do not evade faction bonuses.

- 1a. If you find a glitch, error, or other problem, please PM it to a mod. Do not post it on the forum or chatrooms and do not abuse it yourself.
- 1b. No discussions, signatures, posting of any threads, etc. that break or encourage cheating or breaking any RPG rules.
- 1c. Addressing another issue that keeps coming up with the new battles - you are permitted to use the Tab and Enter keys, but are not permitted to use F5. Straight from Shrimpy.

2. Trading TPPC stuff for stuff on other sites is not allowed. It's also not allowed the other way around (no things from other sites may be traded for TPPC stuff). No TPPC things or any TPPC services (including training services) may be traded for real-world money or real-world items of any kind.
3. Glitches/glitched Pokemon are not allowed to be traded. This includes level 0 Pokemon, Pokemon with no images, or anything that should not exist. Exceptions that are allowed to be traded are any of the old (G) or wrongly gendered pokemon (ex. (G) Eevee, (M) Lugia) that are there from past versions. If you are unsure, feel free to ask a moderator.
4. Do not create multiple accounts in order to hoard new/promo goldens. It doesn't matter if you made them months ago or just before golden day; accounts are not to be made solely for this purpose.

- 4a. Only active, frequently used main or storage accounts may be used for goldens. Once a month or a few times a year of logging in is not considered activity, and such accounts should not be used.
- 4b. Do not create multiple accounts for the purpose of obtaining more starters, promos, or Pokemon from challenges/quests. You may only enter one account at a time in challenges/contests/etc.

5. Do not share accounts, even if it's with your sibling. We highly advise against the use of proxies/IP masking software or devices while on TPPC, due to possible issues involving this rule.

- 5a. Do not trade or give away accounts; give away the pokemon inside the account. Actual accounts/numbers may not be traded or given away.
- 5b. Keep your password safe, and keep it to yourself at all times. Do not give passwords to anyone else for any reason. Always logout before leaving the computer. None of the staff members will ever ask you for your password. We don't need it.

6. Do not scam. Do not lie to others about what pokemon or accounts you have. Do not ask anyone to 'send first' in a trade. Do not offer to train for others and then steal their pokemon. Follow through on your deals.
7. Lending somebody your Pokemon or letting them train it is at your own risk. Moderators cannot help you get your Pokemon back if they are stolen in such an event, or if they are banned inside the account because the person was cheating. If a user scams you by stealing pokemon in this manner, feel free to report them, as they will receive a permanent ban.
8. If an account is banned and that account holds any 'mod prizes'/staff contest Pokemon, the contest Pokemon can be removed from the account without warning.

Additional Trainer's Corner Rules:
1. Do not spam or abuse the report button. Don't report people without a good reason.

- 1a. Do not use the forum report button for somebody scamming you. It's too complicated for this. Please private message it to a moderator with full details and evidence you have.

2. If someone is flooding or mass spamming the forum and a moderator is not online to take care of it, quietly report it and have patience. Do not reply to their posts; doing so only keeps it around longer.
3. Forum account sharing is not allowed.
4. Do not evade bans. If you get banned, you must wait out the entire duration. Do not create a new account or you will simply be banned again and all your bans may be lengthened. Do not create new accounts and pretend you're someone new, either.

- 4a. If you are permanently banned, you can appeal by going on the chatroom and having a talk with a staff member.

5. Do not bump threads, except in Trades, where you may bump one time after each 20 minute interval with no posts. Do not delete your threads or posts and then repost them in an attempt to get around this.

- 5a. If you posted something and need to make a small change, please use the 'edit' button instead of making another post.

6. Do not make "I quit" threads. Just leave silently.
7. Do not ask what a Pokemon is worth. It's worth what you think it's worth; ratings are always changing and there are no 'official' ones. You can ask around, but you should decide your own ratings. If you get ripped off, it's not the staff's responsibility.
8. Please link your accounts. This should be done before using the Trades section, as it makes it far easier for others to tell what your account number is.
9. Do not post profane or 'Not safe for work' photos/images, and do not spam images.

Notes about the Forums:
- If you make a 'Help' thread/guide/Wiki article, you are agreeing that the staff of TPPC can use, edit, change, move, or remove your guide as they see fit.
- Staff members are allowed to lock, edit, delete, or move any thread or post in any forum as they see fit, within reason. This could happen if the thread has inappropriate content, is off topic, is old and outdated, no longer serves its purpose, etc. Do not repost the same thing again; it was locked or deleted for a reason. If you have a specific question or concern about something that happened to your thread, then direct it to a moderator.

Additional Chatroom Rules:
1. Please have only 1 chat window open per person (bots are generally not allowed, with a few special exceptions).
2. Guests/Users/TPPCs should change their names when they arrive. Typing /nick namehere (example, /nick Bill) is how this is done. Stick to one or just a few nicknames. Do not change nicknames over and over constantly, as this is spam. Do not use inappropriate nicknames.
3. Keep trades in #TPPCTrades. Type /join #TPPCTrades to get there.
4. All site rules apply in the chatrooms as well, even if you're in a private channel. Do not intersite trade, etc.
5. Respect the staff in the room, including the server staff; if you are asked to stop doing something, please stop.
6. If you have an RPG issue and no moderator is on the chat, please PM one on the forum. The chat help channel is for help with the chat only.
7. Do not abuse bots or any of the server functions. Do not purposely spam these, or use them in a manner that is harmful or against their original design.

- 7a. Placing pokemon bets and playing the !awesome script is ONLY permitted in the channel #betting, nowhere else. Betting is at your own risk. Moderators generally cannot send/give you any pokemon you 'won' if the other player runs out. Those who scam using bets can be stripped of bet privileges or be banned in other ways if it is deemed necessary. You must follow RPG rules when doing bets (no 'intersite bets', bets for cash, etc.).

8. Random user-created channels that are falsely claiming to be official TPPC channels should be reported to a staff member.
