Lately, I've been reading e-books a lot more than dead tree books, because it's more convenient for carrying around a lot of books.
A lot of people don't seem to like e-books though, what are your thoughts?

How about e-book piracy, is that going to be a concert to publishers in the future?

Prefer e-books, only problem with them is that after reading them for a while, my eyes feel strained.

Meh, I don't carry books around, so I prefer to sit down, open a book, and just read. I like the dead books better.

Plus the fact I enjoy simply sitting down and flipping pages instead of pressing a button. And the books I want to read aren't always online.

I get all my books from the library so I am kinda stuck with the "dead tree books"

Out of curiosity, what have you not been able to find? I've been able to find all the books I've looked for

Maybe I just don't know sites, but as far as I know most of thm require you to register, not something I plan to do.
But...well...find Digital Fortress by Dan Brown or One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

Digital Fortress (http://avaxhome.ws/ebooks/novels/0552151696.html), One hundred Years of Solitude (http://avaxhome.ws/ebooks/history_military/1604133910.html)

Avaxhome is pretty much the best public source for ebooks :)

Oh, you need to download. Another reason why I won't read e-books.

What about Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut or The Twentieth Wife by Indu Sundaresan?

People won't stop chopping down trees because of e-books. Have fun wiping your *** with a laptop when they do, though.

I don't have anything to read them with any sort of portability, my laptop got screwed over by a faulty charger. (It blew up when I was charging my computer, and ruined the charger port.)

I prefer physical books, to be honest. It's way more tiring to the eyes to stare at text on a computer extensively than text on a page. Well, for me anyway.

Whatever everyone above said. Somehow its more fun to read with a physical book then e-book.
Plus you read for too long on the computer my eyes are gone lol, and I will get a headache. And the internet is there for the distraction.
I ussally read before I go to bed....physical book helps with that lol.

Depends. One good thing about the computer is that you can enlarge the size. I'd hate staring into a thick textbook with 6 font and no double spacing.

E-books would strain my eyes too much, so I prefer dead tree books. :B

I don't like the E-Books size. I'm one for dead tree books <:

Dead tree books for me. It's nice to own a lil library, own a series etc. Also, an e-book means that you strain your eyes in the darker hours. :L

If I actually had a nice 'lil portable e-book reader thing, I'd start getting them. Cause it seems like a better, more portable form of normal books.

Dead tree books... I like that name...

There's just something about being able to physically flip the pages, and being able to flip to certain pages easily... Especially if there's a map at the beginning, like in a lot of Teenage Novels.

I prefer books that destroy our Earth. I'm down for anything that can result in the genocide of future generations.

it already is a concern. For now, alot of times I will buy a physical book because I refuse to use an ebook reader. Until my school allows us to carry around laptops, I cannot make the switch. It would be good for me though, I have tons and tons of free (legit, not illegal) textbook resources.
