Do you have certain standards for books when your reading because you want to? Or avoid certain authors or series for any reason(s)? Is there anything that compells you to read one book over the other?

I only read the classics. I don't like reading things that become a fad.

Not really..if I get a recommendation, I usually read some reviews on the book on the internet if I can find them, and judge on that.

Otherwise, I just stroll through the library, fantasy/sci-fi section, and pick a book at random and judge based on the cover and the first few pages.

I enjoy Fantasy, Thrillers, books with a paranormal theme to them. I have enough of reality while I'm living it and prefer to escape it for a few hours at a time when I'm reading.
