Yea there are 50 or so guides out there already I know. 1 D. Power type + 5 ghosts, get to S. Groudon -> toxic -> fly fly etc..
Here's the thing though, I can't seem to find anyone that ever thought to put their ghosts into the "Fly" state prior to getting to Groudon.
Groudon has to be hit by toxic 16 times to faint. Assuming your first ghost with X-Accuracy manages to get Toxic off without dying, that gives you 1 hit immediately + 6 more hits automatically just from bringing out each pokemon.
Groudon's Skill set is:
Haze
Hyperbeam
Crosschop
Icebeam
Thunderbolt
Flamethrower
Shadowball
Crunch
Rock Slide edit
Surf edit (somehow I forgot these 2 XD)
(I don't know why so many of the other guides say his skill set is only 5 of the 10 mentioned attacks btw)
To get the remaining 9 hits that means you need Groudon to use Haze/Hyperbeam/Crosschop at least 5 times on your ghost types during the fight before they all faint (meaning within Groudon's first 9 attacks). Each successful miss only being at a 30% rate, the odds don't seem too great.
On the other hand: set your Ghost type pokemon to just below your Fighter's level (Ex: I've been using Lv200 Dark Snorlax which actually works pretty well somehow, my Ghosts are lv150 each). Set one of your Ghosts as your starter.
Most of the ghost types will be faster than Munchlax even with their lvl deficit.
Ghost #1: Fly
-> Switch to Ghost #2
Ghost #2: Fly
-> Switch to Ghost #3
Ghost #3: Fly
-> Switch to Ghost #4
Ghost #4: Fly
-> Switch to your Fighter (in my case D. Snorlax)
At this point, 4 of your 5 Ghosts will be "Flying". Munchlax is weak so with the exception of hit getting off a critical Crunch attack, he probably won't knock any of them out. Don't bother flying the 5th one since you'll need it to use toxic on Groudon.
--> Get to Groudon using your Fighter.
-> Switch to Ghost #5
Ghost #5: Toxic -> Fly Fly Fly etc..
Once Groudon decides to destroy your #5 Ghost after you toxic him, you'll switch to any of the others. Since they're already Flying, you'll get a free Toxic hit on Groudon before they even land. Not to mention, if you have them equipped with King's Rocks, they'll have a free Flinch chance on top of that. Essentially, having those 4 pokemon in the Flying state gives you 4 free Toxic hits equivalent to 2 successful Flys (or Groudon missing an extra 2 times) guaranteed. This means you only need Groudon to miss 3 times instead of 5.
Edit:
ShinyGroudon used ICEBEAM!
ShinyGroudon's attack missed!
Haunter used DIG!
ShinyGroudon took damage from the poison!
ShinyGroudon fainted!
Haunter has gained 326734 experience!
You've gained $65346!
You've Won The Battle!
For winning this battle, you've received a(n) Suicune !
Suicune has been added to your box!
I hadn't tested it out beforehand. Success on the 5th time facing S. Groudon.

btw using giratina instead of a fighting type poke is much effecient since giratina is also a ghost type poke which allows u to have 6 ghost against groudon instead of 5

There's a number of pokemon you can use to get by the first 5 guys, I didn't mean an actual Fighting Type I just meant whatever pokemon you use to do the killing with. Yes Giratina would be a good choice though if you can handle the first 5 pokemon with him solo. Just pray you don't get hit by too much Shadow Ball, Crunch or Ice Beam though :S

Figured I'd mention, you forgot about Rock Slide in Groudon's movepool. I think you forgot others too, but I can't remember what they are.
Also, Dig is preferred over Fly because of the increased accuracy.

Rockslide and Surf. Honestly I wrote that half asleep XD
In any case, your odds will always be better if you have 4 ghosts flying/dug no matter what the moveset is.
Dig vs Fly, generally it won't make a difference but I guess if you should get stuck losing with Groudon at about 10 HP and one of your ghosts missed a Fly, you can blame it on me XD
**Notice I used Dig when I did it, but honestly I just picked it out of a hat**

Genius. Pure Genius. I suggest you make a whole guide for it, I mean liek how to beat the first 5 pokes aswell, so that way it can hopefully get put in user created guides.

It won't, there's like 50 of these already.

only problem is in this case, you are not realizing you do not get to groudon every time, and if you do get to groudon, and using this strategy, what happens if your only non flying ghost is unable to use toxic?
then you have to wait a full turn for each ghost to land, and then hope that they arent killed also.
basically, what happens if you have a slow internet connection and your main worry is d/cing?
then with your strategy if the first ghost doesnt successfully poison groudon, you have to waaste 1 turn for each ghost until it does, plus the turn you wasted against munchlax, potentially wasting enough time to d/c you, and it may d/c you one of the few times u actually make it to groudon
honestly, the otehr guides have been proven successful, we dont need another guide, especaill one that still makes us look at a different guide to get past the 1st 5 pokemon
overall, about 2/10, this was a nice idea with terrible planning and terrible execution ![]()

Bob I never called this a guide. There's no need for a guide since (as I actually mentioned myself) there are about 50 of them already out there. Notice the title of this thread says "a good trick to add to the TPPC Legend Guides".
This was simply intended to be an add-on to the guides that already exist. An extremely simple yet often overlooked trick to increasing your odds at succeeding against Groudon by a substantial amount.
To answer the question: what if Groudon kills your first Ghost. Now the rest are all flying and you have to wait 1 turn for them to land each time. So what? Your odds are still better than they would have been if none of them had been flying because now: if you Toxic Groudon successfully, you'll have 3 other pokemon in Fly/Dig mode = a free 3 Toxic hits on Groudon when you have to switch to them. No matter what, your odds are bettered by having them in flight.
As for the uh ..... "my connection = dial up 56K" I can't help you. I wrote facts intended to improve the already existing, working method into a more effective and successful one, not to save your connection the hardcore strain of a few extra clicks (browser pages loaded). I don't intend to sound aggressive but to even use that as a critical factor in judging the quality of tactical advice is ridiculous.

Long quote.
Groudon is actually fairly easy to get to, so there's not that much to worry about there.
As for not getting in Toxic the first time, I've beaten it with just 2 Ghosts when Toxic landed. It all relies on luck.
