Hmm, okay. Do you get lucid every couple of nights? I'm also a bit confused about lucidity really, is it that you feel alive THEN you realize your dreaming? or is it just an ordinary dream then you go 'I'm dreaming?!' ?

I think you just have fantastic dream recall, wish I had it. As soon as my alarm wakes up I've completely forgotten my dream. That's why my dream journal probably gets 5 dreams a month D: In cases where you are injuring yourself can't you just wake yourself up?
