:o i love flow concepts XD.
Basically, flow is the direction the whole "sig" is moving in. So like the effects that you use and the smudging, shouldnt be in the opposite direction that your sig is supposed to move to. So for example, if a render is facing right, and throwing a punch that way, the flow wouldnt be at the left side now would it? You would focus more on the punch and make it look like the character is moving. I would suggest www.gfxvoid.com for some great tutorials about flow and smudging, they helped me a lot when i was new to the concept. :D
