Well, considering that TPPC does use STAB (same type attack bonus), you could use a bug type like scizor/heracross and do a lot of damage with megahorn.
Crosschop is the second strongest fighting type move though. I believe.

Well, it really depends on the pokemon you are using. If you are using a:
psychic type:psychic
normal type:hyperbeam
ice type:ice beam
fire type:flamethrower
water type:surf
thundertype:thunderbolt

^those are the best. However, for ice through thunder, there are more powerful attacks (i.e. blizzard, thunder, fire blast, hydro pump), but they have lower accuracy so I wouldn't recommend them.
