Some Gimptastic smudging

I like Gimp but I hate how limited its smudging is.Anyways I was practicing smudging and this is what I got..

Hmmmm....Really Nice.....How'd you do it?

Take a white canvas, brush in some black, filters > Noise > Pick(both sliders at 100) then smudged it with a 147pix soft brush with the spacing set to one..Then sharpen..

Thats a base of it..I did other stuff to it as well.

Okay..If you need any help let me know..Im not sure if what I posted are the exact steps..I would have to have Gimp open messing around to remember.
