Backward Songs?

Have you heard of some? The one I think think is really weird is Stairway to Heaven backwards.

No, I don't think I've heard any songs like that. The only thing I've heard is a song with one line sung backwards. I didn't even realize that's what it was until I actually looked up the lyrics. : P

I just looked it up and it is rather interesting. I wonder who even noticed the "secret message" backwards, but to be honest, only some of the words played backwards makes some sense and the rest of it is jumbled up and incoherent.

At least now I see how they might have gotten the idea in that movie, Little Nicky, where they played Chicago's record backward and it contained a hidden Satanic message. xP

It's called backmasking, and it's become a regular thing in music, really. Some bands, like Tenacious D (there are others, this is just the first example that comes to mind) have openly said they've done it on purpose. Some songs, like Stairway to Heaven, are honestly probably just a coincidence. There's a chance it's on purpose, but I guess there's no way to know for sure on that one.

But anyway, there's a lot of very common ones that have become popular. One of my favorites is "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World, it just sounds funny. "Another One Bites The Dust" by Queen is another one I see around a lot.

Anyway, whether it's done on purpose or not, I always find it interesting when there is something hidden in a song. :>

Something that's not backwards or anything, but is a hidden message, is the morse code in My Immortal. I always found that creepy sounding but I think it's pretty cool...

Stairway To Heaven backwards is 100% true, in my opinion and done on purpose. Where it happens in the song is brilliant and makes perfect sense.
