i told him not to accept but he did anyway

Probably not. It's your mistake. It's like accidentally selling a Pokemon that you didn't want to sell and someone buying it and not giving it back. Even though it would be nice of the other trainer to not take advantage of the accident, it's not their fault that you made the mistake.

Also, next time put a pokemon that was in the trade in your "Starters" so the trade wont go through even if he tries to complete it.

Your fault. They won't help you.

You can stop someone from completing a trade by putting part of your trade in your roster or trading it to another account before they complete, but you cannot delete a created trade. I believe it also works if you level the Pokemon, or swap it.
