To all the trainers who play basketball.

I'm in a basketball team and we play against people that are 2-3 yrs above us and well, is there a way to make our team train and work more as a team cause when we have training sessions, we do the exact same routines every day and now no one wants to train cause we all know the basics and aren't really learning any new skills and tricks.

so does anyone know a way to make us work more as a team rather as individuals and also is there a way to make training sessions like actual games cause funny enough when we train our shooting is perfect but in actual games we aren't as accurate.

also, if anyone knows any new tricks for dribbling past defenders that zone and man at the same time.

thanks in advance

Ok heres ur help.
Use the move where u fake the shot, then go around them while they r tryin to block u.
Itll be an easy layup.
Also, take ur best shot, make sure they go to the most open man and have him shoot.
Zone- Dont go in, take outside shots
Man- Do some fancy-like moves to get them off guard, blow rite thru them to the basket.
I HOOP this helped

Okay, here it goes...

To make a team train, there has to be a purpose for it. The idea is to take charge yourself and try to get your team mates to develop a winning attitude. If you can bring forth desire and work ethic into developing your game off the court, others can catch on. Work out, shoot hoops, work on defensive stances, blah blah blah... They need to develop a drive to be winners and not players. So take ur stance and implement a winning attitude towards your team mates. Until that happens, it's just play for all for them.

But also, your team needs to develop a sense that team work is the best work. Make the extra pass. If you have a good look, but someone has a great look... pass it up. That means a cutter for layins, or a wide open 3.

Also to make a zone ineffective, the best way is to set up a high post low post situation. The idea to break a zone is to attack the middle. Get the ball at the high or low post. If your two posts slide up and down the paint simultaneously, there should always be one high post and one low post. once that ball gets in the middle of the zone, it's easy to break. Open shots, dribble drive penetration. Also it's nice to set picks for the chaser. If you can break the chaser from his matchup, the zone has to adjust to that player. That's going to leave a man open if people slide to the open holes. this is just basic advice. It gets a lot more technical, but the best to do is develop a winning attitude, implement it into your game and workout, make extra passes, and attack the middle.
