This just recently happened, I have no idea what to do to fix it. I've tried turning the computer on and off but no success. I've done some research but people said something about the motherboard. Here's the problem, I'm still afraid if I do something to look for the motherboard I might break it and I don't wanna pay for my computer to be fixed. I've tried turning it off but nothing works. So please help me since I'm using a very old laptop which I don't like using at all. Here are the details of the computer.

that's not too old.. i had an AMD Athlon XP 1.15GHz on my old computer

anyways, what you're trying to say is that the computer turns on but you get no display?

does the computer beep at all?

Well, it could be a lot of problems. Could be the video card or the motherboard or an error. For example, My mother and me both had this same problem and it was caused/fixed in two different ways. My mother's was a corrupted windows file and mine was some other error.
Easiest thing to try first would be to unplug the power cord for the computer and hold the power button down for 30 seconds.

Lol...Should be in the back of the computer plugged into the Power Supply which is usually located at the top. It should be big, thick, and black.
