No, since id rather be doing something i enjoyed that was actually a real career, even if it earned less money. It should be doctors and firefighters who earn the high salaries, not footballers

Wayne rooney earns £250,000 a week~

I'd be happeh if I earned 1/10th of that in a week. ^^

One thing is running after a ball to get 5mil a month or more.

Watching 20 guys running after a ball doesn't get you any money though, and I'm clueless why so many people even cry over seeing their football club losing. I mean, they're the guys playing not you.

It's entertainment, sure. But doesn't it get boring over time? It's always the same thing. I guess tastes cannot be argued about, but yea, beats me.

Clex

I do agree that paying 50 million for a player is absolutely insane that could go to curing cancer.

Doctors, depending on what type of doctor can get paid from $100,000 up to a million so they are pretty well off, where as nurses get paided just under $50,000 a year.

Why is that?

dextrouse
02-02-2011, 04:12 PM
not really. i think you have to send a letter to the FA to register the player. it may take some time, though. that's why torres and david luiz didnt play for chelsea in their win.

Yes, United lost to Wolves, but Liverpool did too. Yes, United lost to West Ham, but for crying out loud, they had professional players on their team! We had youngsters to try out, that is basically what the Carling Cup means.

Silverwind,

Well let's be honest. 6-0 or 8-0, I wouldn't be surprised if we got battered at home in the next match against Man U.

At this rate Arsenal won't be able to win any trophies. Wenger needs to buy a massive overhaul this summer. A great CB (hopefully Sakho), a great LB (I like Trémoulinas/Coentrão), and some winger to add depth (Hazard/Ayew/better both), and a strike partner for RVP (Milito at 5M would be a good buy). Then Arsenal can't compete with big teams, otherwise not really.

That one for sure Barca. simply for two reasons: One, I support Barca since 1995/1996, way before I become an Arsenal fan. Two, simply because if Arsenal KO Barca in this round, chances of them being KOed in next round is pretty high. Barca has a better chance to go way further. Better got one knocked out rather than two.

2-0 to the United! No goals conceeded away from home!

Anyway, Sanchez would be a great buy for Arsenal. Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain will add more skill to their squad as well. For a strike partner, I think Wenger should be patient with Chamakh. He might mature, and I would think he still needs to get used to life in England. Once he does, he would have the potential to follow in Henry's footsteps.

Real Madrid v Barcelona today. I'd like to see a very historic match.

He might mature, and I would think he still needs to get used to life in England. Once he does, he would have the potential to follow in Henry's footsteps.

Chamakh is a good striker, but he can't be RVP's strike partner. His style is more into a single striker type. That's why I count Wenger needs to buy a new one - because Chamakh is for sure RVP's back up. Either way - if both put together it looks like seeing Drogba and Torres in the same pitch.
RVP needs a something more like a poacher as a strike partner.

As about Sanchez - I like him a lot, but one main problem is his age. At 22, it would look good to have a young player. But Arsenal's main problem is that they have way too much young player and no veteran presence. That's also one of the reason I tip Milito. I initially wanted van Nistelrooy the most, but seeing him in Arsenal shirt is close to impossible.

This made me smile. I live in Stoke and have supported the team all my life. Now we are in the final of the FA Cup against Man City. Can't wait!
Bring City down for us please. That fake club needs no trophies =D

i'd opt for Maarten Stekelenburg (Ajax's goalkeeper and captain)
Van der Sar thinks it would be a good choice as well.

Neur might be nice but if he's reluctant to go to England he probably won't do as well as he can.

Even if United got a penalty, Arsenal also should've had a penalty when Vidic hand balled it.
