This might even reduce spam. Before people posted things like "." or meaningless one word spam without caring. Now people might be worried that it'll be considered spam and they'll get a warning or ban.

There's also a 10 character minimum post for using the quick reply thing, I think, so even if they want to spam, they have to make it 10 characters long which could cut down on posts like 'hi', 'lol', or other pointless posts.

Why??? It's a number which is supposed to show you how many posts you have made, and that's all it was meant for. I don't understand what people's obsession is with their post count.
