Can't link accounts.

I've tried for two weeks. The system absolutely won't let me link my account. Everytime I try I get this error message:

The trainer number you entered (#612045) could not be matched to your RPG account. Please try again.

I've already put my TC name "Red" in the Modify your profile section. I don't know what else to do.

Any help would be appreciated.

Once you put Red in TPPC, go to Quick Links on TC > Verify/Link Trainer ID > Insert TPPC #.

Thats what I did.....and done like 99999 times. Where do you think I got the error message from?

EDIT: Sorry if I'm a snappy, its just this is what people have kept telling me to do, which I have too many times and I'm just getting annoyed. I have linked accounts before on the old forums. I just don't know why it won't work now.

No offense, but I didn't put the "#" in front of 612045? It just merely shows that in the error message.

I don't think anyone gets this....There is nothing wrong on my end. I am 80% sure this is a system error.

I think that you're doing something wrong and just don't realize it. Did you include any spaces in your TC name or TPPC #?

I've already told you, I've gone through this a million times. No i did not include any spaces anywhere.

Um, I'm not 100% sure, but I think your name has to be at least 4 characters to link. Could be wrong though.

There are a few players who have less than 3 letters who are linked. When you go to edit your profile in the RPG, does it say your account is Confirmed.

Type in Red exactly in the little box. And then go to Verify Trainer Account on here.

The best thing you can do is make another TC account and try from there. Rule out what is wrong since there doesn't seem to be an obvious solution.

To be honest; I hardly doubt a mod will know what is wrong. :/

You can't say that for sure because your account on tppc is longer then four characters. I on the other hand can almost say that for sure from a previous name i had for an account when i tried to link it. Red, add one ot two letter to your account and tray it again. It should work.

I dont think so because there is a guy named "U3" his name has only two characters and he got linked. You maybe doing so mistake.

As long as you're entering the TC name in the RPG profile FIRST, SAVING it, then entering the number here with no commas, #, or any special characters, I see no reason why it shouldn't work, as it's worked fine this way for others as far as I am aware.

Also, even if it was a 'system error' be aware that there is nothing I can do about it.

Well I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything that I'm supposed to. I guess the only thing now is to try to make a new account. Thanks to everyone who helped out. :smile:
