Selfdestruct?

I swapped my 3.1k to a S.Blissey so I could set the moves to Explosion or Selfdestruct.But when I went to battle it with my Lv5 Gastly it just used Flamethrower..Is that something Shrimpy did to prevent that kind of training account?

Ya if the pokemon your battling doesn't deal damage to you for 3 turns, it uses flamethrower. It's to stop certain types of macroing.

He means that a Poke whose all move are set to Selfdestruct/explosion doesnt use Selfdestruct/explosion,instead it uses Flamethrower while being fought against
