you cant use mirrorcoat against the legend or your guy will faint automatically

Because the moderators have lives, and don't go through the forums everyday looking at threads that are outdated and delete them.

Either way, if you have read the title while fighting the groudon the information is given on what moves cannot be used. The mods leave some threads, but you can always ask people, which is the best guide to fight with.

If you only had 4 Giratinas by the time you went to Groudon, you honestly weren't even close at all. Even if you had 6 Giratinas still alive, the chance of victory is only about 10%.
