How to Fuse/Splice:

This is the easiest way (that I can think of) to fuse two or more sprites together to make a new one. You may find that some ways work better, but on MS paint (which this guide is for), it may be difficult. If you're a beginner, fuse only two pokemon at a time. For the sake of this tutorial, I'll be using Scyther and Blaziken.

First, open up a new file and paste in your two sprites in. Set them next to each other, and select the dotted box tool (on the tools section, top right). Underneath the tools section, you should see two buttons appear. Make sure you click the bottom one.

Next, decide which sprite you want to be your base. This means which one you will add parts to. I will be using Blaziken for my base. Next, on the other sprite that is not your base, decide what parts you want to use. Using the dotted box tool, select the parts you want to use (click and drag around). Now hold down the CTRL button and move the parts away.

Fill up any white spaces in your add-ons with a bright color from your pallette. This will keep it from "bleeding through" and becoming transparent.

Now find a place for all of your parts. Be creative, but remember, make it look realistic (or at least as realistic as Pokemon can get). Erase where you need to, until it looks right. Don't be afraid to scratch in parts, or flip and rotate (under image tab). Remember to use CTRL when you move anything so that you don't lose a copy.

Now select the color that you replaced white with, and select the eraser tool. Hold down the Right mouse button and go over your sprite. The color should be replaced.

Now scratch and play around with it until it looks right. Recolor it using Selfish's guide (click) (http://forums.tppc.info/viewtopic.php?id=573729), and you'll be good. Move the finished sprite to the top left corner. Take the blue dot in the right bottom corner, and drag up towards your sprite. Leave a bit of room, and you're done. Save your work and upload it with Tinypic or Photobucket.
Remember, always save in PNG.

Two things to remember:

NEVER STRETCH A SPRITE! You can easily use the zoom tool to see your work.

ALWAYS SAVE AS PNG! If you save it as anything else it won't look right.

Remember. Practice makes perfect.

Um... if you get the chance, could you change my name back to this one?

Sorry. but this sprite isn't that good, I understand it was for a tutorial and all, but you might want to add a bit of detail.

I might eventually, but the original thought was even with a tutorial, first-timers aren't going to be that great. If they see a sprite that isn't that great, but still looks reletively natural, they won't feel discouraged.
